Emily is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, who graduated in 2018 from Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Fl. She grew up an hour north of Panama City, in the small town of Bonifay, Fl.
She first became interested in studying physical therapy after receiving pre and post-surgical rehab herself, due to a sports related knee injury. She is especially interested in knee related conditions and enjoys being a part of her patient’s recovery process. Emily has treated in both inpatient and outpatient facilities, allowing her to properly treat multiple phases of rehab. She finds joy in watching her patients return to a sport or activity they once enjoyed, while also educating them in future injury prevention along the way.
Emily is newly married and has just recently relocated to Jacksonville for her husband to fulfill his dreams of becoming a physical therapy clinician himself. Being a recent graduate, Emily is up-to-date on evidence-based practices and methods to treat patients more thoroughly. She will also get the privilege of learning the newest concepts through her husband, as he attends a doctorate level physical therapy program.
In her free time, Emily enjoys shopping, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She has recently enjoyed getting to know Jacksonville and surrounding cities and loves discovering new restaurants and parks.
